WHAT'S
OMNI-CHANNEL
FOR
CHURCH?
In the West most followers of Jesus are afraid of being obedient to the Great Commission. They convince themselves it's not important to obey, think it's their pastor's job, say they're too shy, or don't want to make someone mad.
It's amazing how these and many other excuses are used when there's no reluctance or shyness when they're on social media, texting or emailing (for older people) telling seemingly every detail of their lives - from where they've been to what flavor of jelly they put on their toast.

Their interactions, including when they meet friends and family personally, has been noticed and duplicated by the retail and entertainment industries to build relationships with customers and make sales. It's called omni-channel marketing and Restore Church Network believes its adoption for telling the gospel can be a game-changer in the Western world church's Great Commission obedience.

If believers will use social media, texting and the like for personal interaction, would they be willing to use it to build community and tell others how awesome Jesus is? We think some will - enough to make a difference.

Five communication areas and associated channels to be used on our omni-channel Great Commission platform are listed here.

1
WEBSITES, APPS
Way different than putting a worship service online, websites and apps can be initial introduction places - intros to Jesus and the gospel, intros of us to the lost - leading to relationships and then, prayerfully, leading to discipleship-to-conversion opportunities.
2
EVANGLEISTIC OUTREACHES
Events, Bible studies and meals are among numerous ways to physically or virtually reach a specific people group with the gospel. (Examples of people groups are single moms, people struggling with substance abuse, people who like fishing, people at your gym and so on.)
3
WHATSAPP, TEXTING, EMAILING
Once relationships are established, genuine love and regular communication are required to further them. WhatsApp is an important tool for us because we are an international church. Texting and email have a role to play as well.
4
SOCIAL MEDIA, PODCASTS, VIDEOS
Joining conversations with people groups (i.e. single mom's, people struggling with substance abuse) on social media with invitations to podcasts and videos providing more information about specific subjects is a way to meet large numbers of people and provide deeper teachings about Jesus.
5
PHYSICAL, VIRTUAL MICROCHURCHES
Microchurches, both physical and virtual ones, are purposely designed small-in-numbers fellowships where members can have a personal relationship with everyone in the church. Not only will individual relationships be furthered here, lost people will find out more about Jesus and believers will be encouraged to go to even more lost people with the gospel.
