And he (Jesus) is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. - Colossians 1:18 (ESV)
We are Jesus' church. We desire to follow His commands, including to love God, love neighbors and share Jesus (make disciples). In fact, that's our mission. With the Bible as our guide, prayerfully we carry out the mission as described below.
The Hub (background picture) in Beech Grove is a gathering place for us but our home is the city of Indianapolis.
In order for our church to be relevant here we engage our city by going to people who are broken in any way or experiencing difficulties.
During our engagements at addiction recovery houses, meetings with single moms and the like we pray to be able to build real relationships and to be able to provide life-impacting help that demonstrates Jesus' love for those who are struggling and hurting.
Through these actions, we pray to be used by the Holy Spirit to disciple people who are lost to a real relationship with Jesus.
We're a 24/7 group of Jesus followers who engage the city and make disciples of Jesus among lost people so they can experience real restoration from their tough times through Christ.
Then we make ways for the new, healed believers to join us, expanding our engagement and changing our city one person at a time.
Our prayer is for Jesus to use us to build His Kingdom through our engagements.
